Casey Clapp, owner and principal at Portland Arboriculture, is a consulting arborist, author and educator based in Portland, Ore. He’s the co-creator, co-producer, and co-host of Completely Arbortrary. An energetic and enthusiastic story teller, Casey leads people through the world of trees (our world) via a lens of science, history, and real-world cause and effect. He holds advanced degrees in forestry and environmental conservation and is an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist, Qualified Tree Risk Assessor, and Certified Urban Forestry Professional. He’s the author of The Trees Around You: how to identify common neighborhood trees in the Pacific Northwest, available August, 2025. When not looking at trees….well, I guess he’s probably sleeping.

Alex Crowson is a musical artist, podcaster, and great indoorsman based in Portland, Ore. He’s the co-host, producer, editor, and creative director of Completely Arbortrary. Raised among the Douglas-fir rich landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, Alex spent the bulk of his childhood indoors, where he discovered his love and talent for art.  Alex has released two EPs, 2019’s Take This With You and 2022’s Sorry, I Missed You.  In early 2021, Alex founded Completely Arbortrarywith longtime friend Casey Clapp. Alongside his musical and podcast pursuits Alex also loves books, cooking, and goofin’ with friends.
